Elgato step-up rings or lens mount plate are required for this kit to work, which means you need to own an Elgato Prompter already.
Beta kits were sent to 16 different creators to test, and the only camera that isn’t supported due to it’s size and shape is the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema. To see a list of camera bodies and lenses that were tested, click the link below.
While I designed and printed these brackets to be as sturdy as possible, it doesn’t mean they are unbreakable. The L-Brackets are strong enough to support the weight of the camera, but they cannot support the weight of camera + Prompter. Using the Elgato lens mount plate means half the weight of the camera is supported by the plate, and the other half by the bracket. If you decide not to use the lens mount from Elgato, you risk the life of your equipment!
